Term Life Insurance, No-Medical Life Insurance Company CompassQuote Dramatically Reduces Underwriting Time

Meeting with local life insurance agents can be very stressful

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) October 28, 2009

CompassQuote — which offers term life insurance and no-medical life insurance — has recently improved its underwriting service turnaround time with new time-saving measures, said company CEO Brian Greenberg.

He said the company has reduced the average underwriting time down to 28 days. Across the industry, the average time to underwrite a customer ranges from four to eight weeks. The quick turnaround is due in large part to the company’s direct correspondence with customers, Greenberg said.

“As soon as an insurance carrier requests records such as an attending physicians statement or other medical documents for a customer, CompassQuote corresponds directly with the customer to get the ball rolling,” Greenberg said.

He said consumers can register on the CompassQuote Web site and fill out a short, two-page form with personal information required for insurance carrier requests — enough to fill out 90 percent of the insurance application.

The form is then sent direct to the consumer for their records. By pre-filling this form out, the process of mailing paperwork back and forth between life insurance, doctors and consumers is cut to a few minutes. Other insurance companies ask customers questions, and then call them — and it takes 30-plus minutes to fill out the form, delaying the process, Greenberg said.

“CompassQuote is the speedster in the industry,” Greenberg said.

CompassQuote also has a very refined online process so customers can track their progress in real time. The second a policy is approved, the customer receives an e-mail and phone call confirmation.

“With CompassQuote, our customers still get personal attention,” said Greenberg. “While some may argue that there is no substitute for a live human being who can interact with you on a personal level, online insurance brokerages offer unparalleled savings and the ability to talk to a human being, anytime. Additionally, they can offer knowledgeable agents with experience finding the right policy relating to all kinds of personal situations that you may not find in a traditional brokerage simply due to geography.”

New Forms to be Supported for Electronic Medical Records Management Services in 2005

Irvine, CA (PRWEB) January 13, 2005

CalDocs, a leading provider of record center solutions, announces 2005 support for additional medical forms in its Satellite Scan Station (SSS) software. The new Health Services version of the SSS, to be released in January 2005, will add support for additional medical forms including UB-92, HCFA 1450, CMS 1500 billing forms.

In addition to the three new forms included in the Health Services package of the SSS, a customized clinical cover sheet for patient clinical file jackets can be used and proprietary forms are available upon request. The Health Services version is designed to provide all the tools necessary for the Administrator or Records Center Manager to convert medical billing and clinical reports to easily searchable electronic images.

“CalDocs imaging software comes as a complete suite of tools to provide all imaging tasks required for the records manager.” Says John Ermoian, President of The California Document Company (CalDocs), “In addition to scanning, QA and conventional indexing templates, SSS software now allows specific forms recognition and specific fields within the preprinted form to be captured and automatically populated into the file’s database.”

Using its powerful OCR engine, SSS is designed to read specific areas on the supported forms to insure a 98% acceptance rate for most fields. All images processed by the SSS are automatically ported to the CalDocs secure data warehouse for online sharing, viewing, faxing or printing. All data warehouse servers use the CalDocs Records Manager II software and are trusted (Verisign®), secure and private.

Support for the new forms for electronic medical record management services will begin this month, additional forms and utilities for health services will be continually developed to keep clients current with the needs of the industry. A Jurney to Home NICU Journal

the inspiration for a journey to home came a few hours after the birth of my son, Rowan. I longed for a journal that was fitted to the gestational of my preemie. I did my best at the time by recording moments and milestones on camera and in blog form, but for those days spent in the NICU I felt alone in my journey. This journal gives back all the moments of celebration by providing resources, journaling pages, photo pages and is composed to be an actual preemie baby book. Prematurity is an individual experience. Having a 30 weeker, I gained much knowledge in the 33 days we spent in the NICU. I have looked into books that are available on the market today, and think, why did I not have access to that, or, where was that when I was in the NICU? The honest truth is that post-NICU parents are just now finding means to provide information to others; some autobiographical, and some medical accounts of their journeys. “All in all, I wanted not a book of opinions, not a story of struggle, nor the medical mumbo-jumbo, but day by day celebration of our experiences and growth together. ‘A Journey to Home’ is just that. It is a journal of expectations that celebrates the preemie’s life, while documenting the families’ journey together. It is a baby book adjusted to the time spent in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.” Thoughtfully created for all experiences I have provided pages for milestones, pages for thoughts and photos, and medical records and reports. It is all that I had
